Here are some references related to topics that I post about on the blog. This is not a complete list of references.
Hiking and Backpacking
Swiss Mobility: Hiking maps and set hiking routs around Switzerland and Lichtenstein. You can explore national, regional, and local routes or click on the map and fine trails in an area. There is also an Swiss Mobility app that you can download.
GR20: The online forum at corsica.forhikers.com/gr20 and The GR20 Corsica by Paddy Dillon. The website has a lot of useful information on specific gear, travel logistics, refuges, etc. You could can network with other hikers there and get current information. The book provides good descriptions of each stage and possible escape routes. Most books might have 15 or 16 stages. Searches for “GR20 hiking” or something similar will generate many results, some of them for blogs or tours that give their own stages and gear lists.
Schluchtensteig: This website has a good map of the trail and other general information. There is no English version, but a Google Translate button will turn it into pretty good English. Some of the wording is or word usage is unusual.
